More Hills to Cover: NaNoWriMo 2018 Review

National Novel Writing Month is officially over! I joined NaNoWriMo with a project called Hills Under His Shining Star. By the 10th day, I was stuck at a tenth of the month’s goal. My official count of the story draft on the last day was 18,675 words. That means I wrote over a third of the 50,000 goal for the writing event.

That’s not terrible for a rough month. We had midterm elections (which are continuing into December where I live), more political news that’s hard (if not dangerous) to ignore, Thanksgiving and all the activities around that holiday, and a bunch of other distractions, including personal stuff I won’t bore y’all with.

Tweets on the Trail

With all the distractions and a preference to use free time for actually writing, I didn’t stay on top of tweets. What I did post shows bits about Hills and my minor struggles with it through the month. Here’s a tweet stream for the curious.

Speaking, I regret not using the cowboy and fairy emojis more often through the month. I’m going to randomly throw them into this stream.

Moving along…

Sidenote: I’ve since added a few fruits and legumes. 🀷

My attention was elsewhere for the last week.

Tomorrow, I will post about another event that happens in the last part of November.
